Together, the Blueprint Project and the Corridor embody GeFP’s vision to localise a scaling green fuel value chains while positioning Southern Africa as a key node in the global green hydrogen economy.
Green Methanol Corridor’s Blueprint Project
The Green Methanol Corridor Program, developed by Green eFuels Producers (GeFP), is a transformative initiative aimed at accelerating Southern Africa’s role in the global green hydrogen economy. Anchored in South Africa’s Vaal SEZ and extending into the Gauteng Green Methanol Cluster to further connect provincial clusters into the Green Methanol Corridor.
The Blueprint Project
A pioneering circular system architecture that integrates renewable energy, wastewater treatment, carbon capture, electrolysis and methanol synthesis. This model fosters socioeconomic development, climate resilience, and green (re)industrialization. This first project is a catalyst for investment and policy alignment, underpinning the Just Energy Transition.
